During my last few visit to the parks of Walt Disney World, I have been using a new type of backpack for my park bag. Shocker! It is not a Loungefly! It is my Rose Gold Mickey Mouse Icon Flair Backpack. This bag is part of Disney’s Icon Flair collection. This collection is all about creating your own look with trading pins and other accessories.

Details of The Mickey Mouse Icon Flair Backpack

The backpack has some similarities yet some differences from my Loungeflys.

Outside

Pins do not come with the backpack. These are the pins I added to the bag after I purchased it.

This faux leather backpack is a gorgeous rose gold metallic color. It features a main zipper compartment, a front zipper compartment, and two side slip pockets.

This backpack has tiny pinholes on the front of the bag- both on the main zipper compartment and front pocket. These pinholes are where you will put your pins. I like that the holes are already there, so you do not have to create holes to display your pins.

The top of the backpack features a top carry handles with a snap closure. Giving you a different way of carrying the bag. The back features adjustable straps. Sadly, they are not padded.

Also found on the front of the backpack are 4 little Mickey Mouse Icons- one on the front pocket in the corner, 2 on the front main zipper compartment, and the 4th on snap closure of the handles. A nice subtle way to add Disney flair without being too bold or taking away from pins you chose to display.

This backpack features accessory loops. Perfect for hanging Disney keychains/bag charms. I put on my Disney keychains to give the bag some more Disney flair. They can be found on the zipper pulls, and one is near a Mickey Mouse Icon.

Please note the backpack does not come with any pins. The pins displayed are ones that I put on there.

Inside

The liner inside is a rose gold fabric featuring little white Mickey Mouse icons/silhouettes.

Inside is a big deep slip pocket and all-around zipper compartment. This is to protect your belongings from the backs of the pins. I use it as an extra pocket.

Dimensions

The bag measures at 15” H x 11 1/2” W x 7” D.

Price

The retail price of this bag is $59.99. I, however, did not pay that price. I purchased it during one of shopDisney’s sales.

Shopping during sales is one of my favorite ways to save. Click here to learn more about how I save money on Disney merchandise.

How do I keep my Pins Secured?

Disney trading pins come with Mickey-shaped rubber backs. These backs are not secure, especially for displaying your pins on this bag.

I used locking pin-backs to helped secured my pins on the bag. I brought off Amazon some locking pin-backs.

A Look at How I Decorated My Mickey Mouse Icon Flair Backpack

I first used this bag when I went to Animal Kingdom back in Sept 2021. Just added a few of my Halloween theme pins and a pin of an Avatar character and Pumba, along with some of my favorite pins I want to show off.

When I discovered that I was going to DisneyWorld in January 2022 to celebrate Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary, I wanted to decorate my backpack in honor of the celebration. I did that by displaying pins of Disney Fab 50 characters. I did not have pins to represent every fab 50 characters but did come close. 32 out of the 50 displayed on my bag.

Of course both trips, I did add some sort of Disney keychains to the bag.

I love the customizability of the back in which I can put my own personality into the bag. Don’t worry! I still love my Loungefly, but this backpack is my go-to park bag if I need something a little larger.
