Drink Spotlight: The Moonshine at Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’
One of many favorite activities on any Disney Vacation is eating/drinking. In January of 2022, I got to experience the moonshine at Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ in Disney Springs. It is probably one of the best alcoholic drinks I ever had at Disney!
What is Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’?
Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ is Chef Art Smith’s table service restaurant in Disney Springs at Walt Disney World. Chef Art Smith is a celebrity chef. He is known for cooking for Oprah as her personal chef. He was also born and raised in Jasper, FL which he reflects in this restaurant.
His restaurant in Disney Springs serves Homestyle Southern cuisine. Some dishes available at this restaurant included; his famous Fried Chicken and Doughnuts, Country Fried Steak, southern-style sandwiches, and much more. The food is delicious! Along with the food, they serve some alcoholic drinks. My favorite is their moonshine. I plan on doing a more in-depth spotlight on this restaurant in the future.

Details of the Moonshine at Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’
The moonshine at this restaurant (which they call “Shine on Tap”) is the best-tasting adult (alcoholic) beverage I ever had at Disney, along with being the most bang for your buck. In addition, there is more than 1 flavor.
Flavors
When I was there in January 2022, they had 5 flavors available.
- Rumshine Punch
- “Strawberry RumShine, blackberry brandy, banana liqueur, pineapple juice, and house-made grenadine.”
- Blue Hooch
- “Blue Flame moonshine, lemon-infused moonshine, blue curacao, house-made simple syrup, fresh lemon juice, and a splash of Sprite.” This one is the strongest one they have.
- Strawberry Lemonade
- “Strawberry moonshine, freshly muddled strawberries, lemonade, and strawberry puree.”
- Moonshine Magariarita
- “Tequila, moonshine with a splash of fresh-squeezed orange and lime.”
- Sweet Tea Shine
- “Sweet tea, fresh-squeezed lemon, and moonshine.”
All of the descriptions came from their menu.
They offer samples if you want to try a flavor before committing to a flavor. I had a sampling of Rumshine Punch and Blue Hooch. I ended up getting the Rumshine Punch. To me, it tasted like an adult fruit punch. It had the perfect balance of flavors!
The Blue Hooch was a little too sweet for my liking. It reminded me of a super sweet Jolly Rancher candy.
On my next visit, I plan on getting the Strawberry Lemonade. Who knows, I may stick with the Rumshine Punch- super delicious.
If you like mixing flavors, you can combine the different flavors.
Price
Depending on the size you get depends on the price. They offer a 16 oz for $14 plus tax. My favorite and the best value is the 22 oz refillable squeeze bottle for $22 plus tax. The cost to refill the 22 oz squeeze bottle is $14 plus tax. This is such an amazing deal. These prices were the prices when I went in January 2022.
UPDATE – Price increase- $23 plus tax for the refillable squeeze bottle and $15 plus tax for refills.
Details of the Refillable Squeeze Bottle
The best thing is that the squeeze bottle is good for a lifetime of refills. Another favorite thing about the refillable squeeze bottle is the FREE refills you can get on soft drinks and water (based on when I went in January 2022). That is right! I said FREE! How cool is that?!?! This is some huge savings!
You do not need to dine in to get the refills. There is a separate entrance to the bar, named Shine Bar & Social. This is where you can walk in and get your refills on either the moonshine for $15 plus tax or the free soft drinks/water. You have to the squeeze bottle with you to get the refills.
Another plus about their squeeze bottle is that it makes a great souvenir!
The squeeze bottle I received is clear in color with a screw-on lid, and straw along with a koozie “wrapped” around the bottle. It is a light blue checked pattern with the restaurant’s logo on one side. The other side says FLORIDA FABULOUS. Please note that they may have different designs for their squeeze bottles. I have seen some with a different koozie design from mine.
