Information/details are based on my May 2024 experience.

Characters that make an appearance during this dining are Snow White, Dopey, Grumpy, and the Queen. Snow White, Dopey, and Grumpy will come and visit with you at your table. This is the time when you can meet and take photos with these characters.

To meet and get photographed with the Queen you will be summoned when she is ready for your “presence”. The Queen will have a PhotoPass photographer in the area where you meet the Queen. Cast Members will gladly help take photos with your phone to help get full group shots.

The characters will also put on cute little dance performances. Also, there are announcements made when characters enter the dining room. I love that because it gets you ready to see their entrance/performance.

You receive a cute card that features the signatures of Snow White, The Queen, Grumpy, and Dopey. It makes an adorable keepsake and it is free/at no extra cost. These characters yes even the Queen herself will do autographs in your autographs books too.

Location and Hours

This character dining experience is located in the rustic Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort. Hours are 4:00 PM- 9:15 PM Sunday-Saturday. This restaurant only offers a dinner service.

Price

The price for this character dining experience is $65 (plus tax and gratuity) for each adult and $39 for each child (plus tax and gratuity).

Menu

The menu is based on German and earthy cuisine. I love the creativity of the names to go with the theming of Snow White and Enchanted Forest. Appetizers and desserts are shared and bite-sized while entrees are individually plated. The appetizers and desserts are served on a tree-looking display on your table.

Each person will pick one entree from a prix fix menu. I am going to let you in on a little secret, you can get additional rounds of both appetizers and desserts that do not cost anything extra.

I love how the menu is based on reading a story and fits with the theme of the restaurant. This blog post will include the main menu. The kids’ menu is located on the restaurant’s webpage, click here

Menu information came from both the physical and menu on the website for Story Book Dining at Artist Point with Snow White.

Shared Appetizers- The Story Begins

The appetizers included in this meal are the following

  • Wild Mushroom Bisque
    • With Chived Oil
  • Hunter’s Pie
    • Turkey and Chicken, Cranberry Preserve, Crispy Sauerkraut (this is in a form of a meatball- the menu didn’t say that)
  • Wicked Shrimp Cocktail
    • Bloody Mary Vinaigrette, Seaweed Salad, Spiced House-made Seasoning

My favorite was the mushroom bisque. I love anything with mushrooms and this bisque was flavorful. The bisque reminded me of the one I had on the Disney Magic Cruise Ship back in February 2023. I also like the shrimp and found the shrimp to be a decent size and decadent.

The Hunter’s Pie surprised me in that it was in the form of a meatball (which the description didn’t say). It was good and flavorful but found the other two to be better.

Entree- The Core of the Story

You will choose one of the following entrees –

  • “Cottage” Beef Stroganoff
    • Tender Beef, Preserved Vegetables, Spätzle, Mushrooms, Aged Cow’s Milk Cheese
  • Royal Prime Rib Roast
    • Horseradish-Mashed Potato, Carrots, Jus
  • A Stroll through Nature
    • Asparagus, Leeks, Arugula, Gnocchi, Sage, Parmesan (*Featured in Delicious Disney: Walt Disney World: Recipes & Stories from The Most Magical Place on Earth)
  • Magic Mirror’s Slow-braised Pork Shank
    • Polenta, Gastrique
  • Brother’s Grimm Herb Chicken
    • Cauliflower Purée, Roasted Vegetables, Chicken Jus
  • Bashful’s Sustainable Fish
    • Herbed Risotto, Gremolata
  • Sorceress Spell of “Tricken” Chicken
    • Cauliflower Puree, Roasted Vegetables, Vegetable Jus (Plant-based)

I had the pork shank, and it was perfection. It was fall-off-the-bone tender and flavorful. The polenta served with it was creamy and heavenly. I love the little touch of greens (look and taste like spinach) that I found underneath. The menu didn’t mention anything about it but didn’t mind it. It gave the dish some freshness and lightness.

Shared Desserts- Sweet Endings

The shared desserts included the following:

  • Miner’s Treasures
    • Cookies ‘n Cream Panna Cotta, Chocolate Gems
  • Fairy Tale Gooseberry Tart
    • Meringue and Gooseberry
  • “Poison” Apple
    • Dark Chocolate-Apple Mousse, Sour Center
  • The Hunter’s Gift to the Queen
    • Plant-based options and avaiable upon request

During my family dinner experience, we were served the first three desserts. When I was looking back at the physical menu, it says The Hunter’s Gift to the Queen is a plant-based options for dessert, and served on request. My family had Happy Birthday chocolate decorations with our desserts since we were celebrating my and my dad’s birthdays.

My favorite dessert was the Miner’s Treasures with Dopey’s purple floppy hat. It reminds me of a cookies and cream firm pudding. So delicious! The Miner’s Treasures came with some chocolate candy rocks aka gems. Very fitting with the theme!

Specialty Drinks

The basics like soft drinks are included in the cost of the meal. There are additional options for drinks that they whipped up from the “wishing well”  that contain alcohol and do not contain alcohol for additional cost.

The drink I had was the A Brew of Peaches. This drink is a strong bourbon-forward drink with notes of peaches. I enjoyed it, but I am a bourbon drinker. I did have a sip of the smoking mirror. It was delicious too and the little serving presentation with the smoke of that drink was delightful.

There are beer and wine selections, and those can be viewed here on the restaurants’ webpage.

Both my family and I had a magical time at the Story Book Dining at Artist Point with Snow White. The one tiny complaint was that some of the menu descriptions were vague and did not fully describe some of the dishes. Other than that, this is something that I would do again. Character interactions theming, and food/drinks served were the fairest of all the dining experiences I ever had at Disney!
