It’s been forever since I have been to my favorite Walt Disney World Park, Magic Kingdom! To ease my sadness from missing Magic Kingdom, I want to share with you one of the best food items I had at Magic Kingdom. That was the Sweet and Spicy Chicken Waffle Sandwich from Sleepy Hollow.

What is Sleepy Hollow?

Sleepy Hollow is a quick-service restaurant. Sleepy Hollow is located in the Liberty Square area of Magic Kingdom. Their menu is a snack type yet they do have a breakfast menu. Some of the other items you can find at this quick-service restaurant include Fresh Fruit Waffle Sandwich, Turkey Leg, and Funnel Cake with Strawberries and Powdered Sugar.

This quick-service restaurant does have mobile ordering capability when using the Walt Disney World My Experience App.

Details of the Sweet and Spicy Chicken Waffle Sandwich at Sleepy Hollow

This waffle sandwich is chicken that is fried and glazed in a honey and siracha sauce. A broccoli slaw comes on the sandwich. The chicken and slaw are placed on a decent-sized waffle that you can fold to make a sandwich. The sandwich comes with some house-made chips.

I found this sandwich to be delicious. I think the sauce was a perfect balance of sweet and spicy. The chicken was moist and juicy. The house-made chips were nice and crispy and good in flavor. I am not the biggest fan of broccoli, but I didn’t mind the broccoli in slaw since it was cut thin into strips. The slaw was so refreshing and gave a little bright note to the sandwich. I thought that the sandwich was a decent size and fulfilling.

The only issue I have was with the waffle. Part of the waffle got a little soggy. Also, I think it would be more Disney if somehow the waffle could have been Mickey-shaped and/or featured a Disney Character. I would give this a rating of 8.5 out of 10.

The price of the Sweet and Spicy Chicken Waffle Sandwich that comes with house-made chips is $11.59 plus tax. This sandwich is avaiable during lunch and dinner hours.

It has been a hot minute since I got this waffle sandwich at Magic Kingdom, but I found a way to help ease those cravings. The way is by making it at home with the aid of the Unofficial Disney Parks Cookbook. This cookbook is available on my blog post- Disney Cookbooks: My Favorites I Found on Amazon.
