Some of the Specialty Doughnuts from Voodoo Doughnut That I Have Tried
If you read my blog about Voodoo Doughnut you know it is a huge favorite. I want to share some of the different specialty doughnuts from Voodoo Doughnut that I have tried. Some specialty doughnuts are served daily, while others are limited-time/seasonal offers. All the ones I had are from the Universal CityWalk location in Orlando, FL.
Voodoo’s Daily Specialty Doughnuts
Voodoo Doll
Their most famous and signature specialty is the Voodoo Doll. This doll-shaped raised yeast doughnut is stuffed with a juicy raspberry jelly filling. The doughnut is topped with chocolate frosting and decorated to look like a Voodoo doll. To finish it off is a pretzel stick jabbed into it. No one Voodoo doll looks quite the same.
Universal Orangesicle
This specialty doughnut is exclusive to the Universal CityWalk location. It is a raised yeast bar doughnut with a Bavarian cream filling with an orange citrus frosting. It has pearl-like sprinkles and a small chocolate sign with the name of doughnut.
This one is served on a popsicle stick. How fun?!?!
Seasonal/Limited-Time Offering Specialty Doughnuts
Some of the names may be their exact names.
Vampire/Dracula
A bar shape-raised yeast doughnut filled with cookies and cream Bavarian cream. They decorated to look like a vampire. This doughnut looked like it was ready to suck out the filling out of the Voodoo Dolls. I had this one back in the fall of 2019.
Madi Gras King Cake
This bar-shaped raised yeast doughnut came with a cinnamon Bavarian cream filling. This filling reminded me of a cinnamon cream cheese.
The frosting on this doughnut was vanilla. The top half was decorated with a jester hat in black frosting with purple, green, and yellow frosting along with pearl-looking sprinkles. The bottom had sprinkles in the traditional Madi Gras colors.
I had this doughnut back in Feb 2020.
Pumpkin Spice
I love the flavor Pumpkin Spice. When I saw that they had a pumpkin spice doughnut on my trip to Orlando in the fall of 2020. I knew I had to try it.
This raised yeast doughnut is shaped and decorated to look like a pumpkin with orange-colored vanilla frosting. The stem was a pretzel stick. Inside was a pumpkin spice bavarian cream.
Spring Chick
This cute little raised yeast-filled doughnut I had back in April 2021. It had a lemon cheesecake filling. Decorated with yellow sprinkles and frosting. I loved how they made it look like a little chick. Super adorable!!! It was almost too cute to eat.
Blueberry Lemonade
This doughnut was a raised yeast bar. It came with blue frosting and had a design of a glass full of blueberry lemonade on it. The filling inside was whipped and had a blueberry lemonade flavor to it. I got to try this one in May 2021.
Chocolate Anniversary Slice of Cake
Voodoo Doughnuts at Universal City had its anniversary back in May 2021. In honor of it, they created an anniversary Doughnut.
This raised yeast doughnut resembled a slice of cake. There were 3 versions: vanilla, strawberry, and chocolate (the one my hubby and I got.) All 3 of them had the same filling of a cake batter cream and a pretzel stick as a candle.
Slice of Summer/ Watermelon
For summer 2021, Voodoo released this raised yeast triangle-shaped doughnut which looked like a slice of watermelon. The whipped filling in this was a tart yet sweet watermelon flavorful. It reminded me of the watermelon jolly rancher candy. It was not the same watermelon flavor as the Watermelon Dole Whip. One of the ones I had in June 2021.
Churro Stand
This doughnut combines all of the features of a churro into one. This round-shaped raised yeast doughnut had a cinnamon sugar outside coating. It had a creamy dulce de leche filling. I had this delicious doughnut in June 2021.
S’mores Doughnut
This raised yeast-filled doughnut had chocolate whipped filling. Chocolate frosting, a bountiful amount of marshmallows, and some graham cracker dust top this doughnut, along with a drizzle of chocolate. I had this one in September 2021.
Espresso Yo Self Doughnut
This raised yeast doughnut was a ring shape with a coffee vanilla frosting. There was a sprinkling of ground expresso on top with a chocolate drizzle. I had this one at the same time I got the S’mores doughnut.
The King Cake Doughnut is both my hubby’s and my ultimate favorite doughnut we have tried from Voodoo. We still talk about this doughnut to this day! We were lucky enough to get this one twice. Once before we left for our Disney Cruise in Feb 2020, and once we got back from the cruise.
