Merchandise Spotlight: Disney Lorcana The First Chapter Starter Decks
One of the newest and hottest Disney items is the Disney Lorcana The First Chapter cards. These Lorcana Cards are sold in booster packs, gift sets, and starter decks. My husband and I were lucky to purchase some starter decks.
What is Disney Lorcana?
Disney Lorcana is a trading card game based around Disney from the company Ravensburger. Ravensburger is the same company that came with the Villiaous Game. My husband, who plays Magic Gathering (another trading card game), says that Lorcana reminds him of Magic but Disney-themed. The next sets of Lorcana have been announced The Rise of Floodborn and Disney Lorcana Disney 100, and will be available on shopDisney December 1st, 2023.

Price
The price we paid for each of the starter decks was $16.99 plus tax.
Available to Purchase
We purchased some of our starter decks online from shopDisney and Target. I know that Best Buy and Walmart had them available. These big box stores released them for purchase on September 1st, 2023, along with some other Lorcana products. When I purchased ours, they sold out instantly online. We were hoping to get a Gift Box set but had no luck.
A week after the release date, we went to our local Target, and to our surprise, they had some Disney Lorcana booster packs, deck boxes, and card sleeves. We did not see any Starter Decks or any other Lorcana products.
I also know some card shops carry Loracana products with some having an earlier release date. My hubby called our local card shop, and they confirmed they are getting some Loracana products soon. I saw on social media that Disney Loracna The First Chapter products were also released in the Disney Parks.
As mentioned at the beginning of this blog post, shopDisney announced this week the next wave of Lorcana- The Rise of Floodborn and Disney Lorcana Disney 100 will be available on their site on December 1st, 2023. My hubby and I have our calendars marked to make sure we are available to purchase these new and highly anticipated cards.
