One of my hubby’s and mine guilty pleasures is desserts. One of our favorites to eat is cookies! The best cookies that we ever had were the cookies from Gideon’s Bakehouse in Disney Springs.

What is Gideon’s Bakehouse?

Gideon’s Bakehouse is a bakery that makes cookies and cakes. At the Disney Springs location, they also sell coffee drinks (cold brews/iced coffee).

What makes Gideon’s Bakehouse unique from other bakeries is its decor/theming. Their decor reminds me of a mashup of Haunted Mansion, Harry Potter, and Tim Burton. It is like a gothic and wizardry theme is how I would describe it. It is different from the typically bright and pink colors associated with other bakeries.

Locations

There are two locations, and both are in the Orlando area. The first one is at 3201 Corrine Dr, Orlando, FL 32803 in East End Market. This is the first Gideon’s Bakehouse.

The second one is located in Disney Springs in the Landing. The Disney Springs location, as I mentioned before, is the only one that sells cold brews and is the only one I have been to.

Details of the Cookies from Gideon’s Bakehouse in Disney Springs

The cookies at Gideon’s are heavenly! They are soft/moist and flavorful. My husband said, “The best thing he has ever put in his mouth!”

Flavors

  • Original Chocolate Chip (one of my favorites!)
  • Peanut Butter Crunch
  • Pistachio Toffee
  • Cookies and Cream (Hubby’s favorite)
  • Triple Chocolate
  • Banana Bread Chocolate Chip (was a limited edition flavor during our first (Jan 2022), but since added to the everyday menu (based on the last few menu cards we received)
  • Coffee Cake Cookie ( Morning Exclusive- Available Every Morning until they Sell Out)- This is both my and hubby’s favorite)
  • Dark Coffee Cake Cookie (Evening Limited Edition Flavor)

Each month they come out with an exclusive limited edition flavor. Some past limited edition flavors include Peanut Butter Chocolate Swirl, Kris Kringle, Krampus, and Cookie Butter Butterscotch Cookie ( another favorite of mine).

Size/Cost

The cost for these cookies is $6. You are probably thinking $6 for one cookie. In my opinion, it is worth it because it’s not just an ordinary standard-size cookie. It is almost half a pound of made-from-scratch cookie! The cookies are big as my hand.

Order Limit on Cookies

They do have a limit of 6 cookies per person. The limited edition items have a limit of 2 per person. So keep that in mind when ordering.

Trading Cards

Along with the cookies, Gideon’s gives you trading cards. It is fun to collect them. Each month they changed based on my experience. Below are just some of the ones we received over our visits. I also include some of the menu cards. They are also fun to collect.

Packaging

Not only the cookies are made fresh, but they treat them with care in their packaging. Each cookie is wrapped individually and put in a box that goes with the theme of the bakehouse! I like that so you don’t have to worry about different flavors of cookies touching each other.

Gideon’s Bakehouse Virtual Queue

The Disney Springs location is very popular and can be very busy. They use a Virtual Queue system to combat having people waiting in long lines.

To enter the Virtual Queue, you must sign in with one of Gideon’s workers. You will give them your name and phone number. They will sign you up, and you will be given a text with an estimated wait. When it is finally your time, you will get a second text when you can check in. Once you check-in, you will wait in a small line to enter. While you wait, they will give you a menu to see what options are available.

They will use the Virtual Queue System if they are busy.

I like the Virtual Queue system because it allows you to explore and shop Disney Springs while waiting for the text to join the line.

As I wrap up this blog post, I am tempted to get in my car and drive down there to get some cookies. They are the best cookies ever, and I am not a shame to admit that! They are so delicious!
