One of my favorite meals from my latest Disney trip was the Ahi Tuna Nachos from Yak and Yeti in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. These nachos were simply delicious.

Before I go into the Ahi Tuna Nachos, let me give you a little more information about the Yak and Yeti.

Information about Yak and Yeti Restaurant

Yak and Yet Restaurant is one of the few table service restaurants in Animal Kingdom. They serve Pan- Asian style dishes. They serve Lo Mein, Chicken Tikka Masala, and Honey Chicken, to name a few.

This restaurant also offers some American-style food but with an Asian twist-Korean Fried Chicken and Kobe Beef Burger. They do have a Kid’s Menu. Click here to view their menus.

I love that this restaurant had something for hubby to eat since he is a picky eater. He ordered a plate of chicken tenders with fries.

You do not need a dining reservation, but you do need a valid park ticket with a park reservation. However, I highly do recommend making dining reservations. When I was there in Sept, as my hubby and I waited for our table to be ready (we had reservations), we overheard the hostess tell guests, who did not have a reservation, that it was going to 1 to 1 1/2 wait.

Details of Ahi Tuna Nachos

Piled high are crispy wontons. Cascading down the pile of wontons are pieces of ahi tuna with drizzles of soy glaze and wasabi aioli. Some greens like shredded lettuce were on the nachos along with shredded cabbage. Topping it off was an Asian-style slaw.

The pile of nachos was about as tall as my Eeyore nuiMOs.

This dish is found in the shareable part of the menu. It is meant for two, but I ate all of it. Do not judge! I worked up an appetite walking all over Animal Kingdom!

I love that this dish has saltiness, sweetness, and a little bit of kick in spice. The ratio of wontons to the toppings was perfect. There were enough toppings to have some on every piece of wonton.

The next time you are in Animal Kingdom, check out Yak and Yeti and get these nachos. They are a perfect and delicious choice to refuel after walking and riding some rides in Animal Kingdom!
